Ben Weiss is the Co-founder and COO of CoinFlip, the world’s leading Bitcoin ATM operator. As COO, Ben directs the implementation of CoinFlip’s core ATM business. Ben co-founded CoinFlip in 2015, and since then, has succeeded in advancing cryptocurrency accessibility across the U.S. to many types of cash customers, including a significant portion of the underbanked.
Ben leads a team of over 50 employees and has overcome the logistical challenges of building out CoinFlip’s ATM network infrastructure from the ground up. Under Ben’s leadership, CoinFlip has experienced exponential growth and profitability, all without ever needing to raise external funds. In addition, Ben helps guide CoinFlip’s long-term business strategy, maintains strong relationships with banks and regulatory bodies, and oversees the company’s finances.
Ben graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Economics and clerked at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office. Furthermore, Ben is a Trustee for the New Jersey Blockchain Coalition and a board member of the California-based Blockchain Advocacy Coalition. He’s looking forward to watching the crypto space evolve from a niche industry to a global force.
