
Paul is a co-founder and the CEO of Viamericas Corporation , a remittance company with operations in the U.S. and throughout Latin America, founded in 1999.
Prior to founding Viamericas in 2000, Paul was a partner with the Washington D.C. based law firm Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering, where his practice focused exclusively on Latin American business transactions. As a lawyer he managed the commercial, financial and regulatory aspects of transactions across Latin America, with a particular emphasis on private equity investments and capital markets issuances.
Paul received his undergraduate degree at Tufts University in Latin American Studies, summa cum laude; his Masters degree in international business and Western Hemisphere diplomatic history at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy; and his Juris Doctor at Harvard Law School.
He was was a Fulbright Fellow to Colombia and lives in Potomac, Maryland with his wife Lillian Argilagos and their four daughters.
