María Luisa currently works as a consultant for the Remittances Program of the Multilateral Investment Fund (FOMIN) of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) group. From 2003 to 2007, she was a counselor and trade negotiator for El Salvador to the WTO in Geneva. In 2008, she led a research study on the microfinance sector in India as a Project Concern Intn’l (PCI) fellow. She has a Master’s in Dev. Economics and International Bus. Relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts and a BA in Business and Economics from the Escuela Superior de Economía y Negocios (ESEN), of El Salvador.
