Dr. Justo A. Ortiz serves as Trustee at Insular Life Assurance Company, Ltd. since January 2018. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Unionbank of the Philippines.
He served as Chief Executive Officer of Unionbank of the Philippines until January 1, 2018. Mr. Ortiz was a Managing Partner of Global Finance and Country Executive of Investment Banking of Citibank and also had 16 years of experience in Citibank. He served as the Chairman of Union Properties, Inc., UBP Capital Corporation (formerly WG&A), and Chairman – Megalink. He serves as a Director of Aboitiz & Company, Inc. and Unionbank of the Philippines. He has been a Director of Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. since 1994. He served as a Director of Aboitiz Consumer and Transport Group, ECR Philippines, Digital Philippines, Inc.
He served as a Director of 2GO Group Inc. since September 23, 2002. He served as a Trustee of Children’s Hour Philippines. He served as a Member of Young President Organization. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Masters in Business Administration both degrees from Ateneo de Manila University.
