USE OF REMITTANCES FOR DEVELOPMENT
FINANCIAL SERVICES IN CUBA
This one-of-a-kind seminar has been designed for Cuban nationals which we are inviting to come and learn of the current state of remittances around the globe, the models in place, the regulations & compliance and most of all, the importance of remittances as a development tool for savings and investment. Remittances are key for the Cuban economy and will be even more in the decades to come.
This one-of-a-kind seminar is a must take for everyone coming from outside Cuba as we present and analyze the current state of financial services in Cuba, from the organization of the financial sector, the services offered by local banks and non-bank financial institutions, the expectations of customers and the management of the foreign exchange in the island and the role of foreign financial institutions.
Many opportunities are open for speakers in this seminar in a number of subjects. IMTC is not able to provide travel and lodging for speakers willing to participate & contribute in this first ever remittance conference in the island.
Local members of the institutions that provide financial services in Cuba, as well as regulators and academics will be presenting the subjects and we will update the information as it becomes available. Spanish to English translation will be provided.
