MTFinX

MTFinX Workshop

In 2016 we did our first MTFinX Financial Experience Workshop in conjunction with CFSI, the Center for Financial Services Innovation, the US authority on consumer financial health committed to build better consumer products and practices, especially for the underserved, by shaping a robust and innovative financial services environment with increased access to higher quality products and practices for all. The experience lead by Nancy Castillo, with the assistance of Cecilia Oronoz & Rosario Hernandez lay the ground to develop a new version of the Workshop. MTFinX will be an amazing hands-on experience, especially for out-of-the-US participants, that they will never forget and will contribute to the understanding of the industry from the ground up.

MTFinX a Financial Experience Workshop

MTFinX will facilitate an immersive experience for workshop participants, complete with real-life scenarios and challenges that unfold as the day goes on. Connecting to the MT Consumer Financial Experience is an in-the-field workshop that allows financial product designers to experience firsthand what the challenges and opportunities are in accessing financial services and tap together as a group into these consumer challenges. These challenges will include performing a money transfer at an agent of an MTO, cashing a check, sending a top-up, doing an online transfer and a mobile transfer using different companies & countries, scenarios that migrants and other users of these services live every day. All these scenarios will be then analyzed and the pros & cons of each experience will be discussed and debated while the workshop consultants and facilitators will make sure that every participant focus on the aspects that interest them and shares his/her experience with the other participants.

We feel that international participants that offer services to US companies will also learn from this experience as well as colleagues that want to understand the industry from the ground up.

Your Workshop Registration includes a one day intensive and highly practical experience with excursions to nearby businesses where some of the scenarios will be developed. Transportation will be provided to small groups. Lunch will be served at 1 am at the Hotel. The afternoon coffee break will be served in the Trade Fair Area. Workshop participants are invited to the Welcome Reception at the end of the day. The course will be in English but facilitators are bilingual.
