Jeanette is a Senior Product/Regulatory Counsel at PayPal, Inc., responsible for providing legal guidance for the development of new products at PayPal, including web-based and mobile products, point of sale capabilities, prepaid and other card payments. Along with a team of lawyers, she works with strategists, product developers and government officials to help PayPal navigate the myriad of state, federal and international laws that apply to its business and products, supporting development of new products, payments operations, and compliance with licensing requirements for the U.S. and Canada.

In November of 2012, Jeanette relocated to San Jose, CA from Charlotte, NC, where she was previously Associate General Counsel at Bank of America, most recently providing legal support for Payments Operations and Consumer and Small Business Banking. Jeanette is an experienced consumer regulations and payments attorney specializing in deposits, check, check image, ACH, wires, electronic and mobile banking. Jeanette has extensive experience working with industry groups on the modernization of payments, has consulted as an expert witness, and often speaks on payment issues at industry conferences such as the IMTC, the International Money Transfer Conferences.

She received her undergraduate degree from The University of Florida and her law degree, with distinction, from Emory University.
