Ana M. del Toro Sabater is of-counsel of Antonetti Moltalvo & Ramirez-Coll Attorneys at Law.
Ms. del Toro has considerable transactional experience in public and private structured financings, representing lenders and borrowers, mergers and acquisitions, the design and organization of corporate and other legal entities and structures for numerous business ventures in Puerto Rico.
A significant part of Ms. del Toro’s securities practice has included serving as bond counsel and underwriters’ counsel in public finance transactions of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, its instrumentalities and municipalities, including bond issuances of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico Sales Tax Financing Corporation, Employees Retirement System of the Government of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, Puerto Rico Highways and Transportation Authority, Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico Public Buildings Authority, Puerto Rico Public Finance Corporation, and the Puerto Rico Municipal Finance Authority. She also advises clients on diverse regulatory matters, such as registration statement and proxy statement disclosure, and investment company and securities registration filings with the Securities Exchange Commission and the Office of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions of Puerto Rico.
Ms. del Toro also counsels clients on matters related to the Tourism and Hospitality industry, including timeshare and condo-hotel licensing procedures. In addition, she has vast experience in matters related to financial institutions, counseling clients with licensing and compliance matters before the Office of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions.
Ms. del Toro was a Member of Pico & Blanco LLC from March 2016 to October 2017. Prior to joining Pico & Blanco, LLC, she was a Shareholder in the Corporate Division of Fiddler, González & Rodríguez, P.S.C., where she was also a member of FGR’s Securities and Banking Practice Group. Before joining FGR as an associate, Ms. del Toro worked with The AES Corporation as Development Manager in charge of all permitting requirements and financing associated with the development, construction and operation of the first coal-fired cogeneration private power plant in Puerto Rico.
Ms. del Toro was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on February 3, 1969. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Hood College in 1991 and a law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 2000. Ms. del Toro is fluent in English and Spanish.
Ms. del Toro is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and is a licensed notary public in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. She is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
